Oxford Flute Summer School welcomes many players – enthusiastic amateurs,
emerging young artists, late-starters, professional players and teachers;
all come together to be inspired by music and the flute.
Designed for enthusiasts of any age, in this option we will work together on finding ways to refine and improve your playing. Small supportive classes and individual lessons will focus on the pieces you bring with you, as well as introducing you to new repertoire and ideas for developing your practice and musicianship.
As an Oxford Performer you will have access to all aspects of the summer school timetable, including masterclasses, concerts, flute choir, flute ensemble, daily warm-up and technique classes. In addition to all these activities, more experienced players can choose the extra challenge of performing in a class and in a concert.
Intended for conservatoire students, postgraduates and professional players, the Masterclass option offers guidance on the way to achieve the next level in your performance. There will be classes on a practical approach to professional auditions and on building a successful career.
