Cancellation

The deposit of £150 is non refundable. Full payment is due before 1st July and after this date there will be no refund of any fees paid. You may like to take out personal holiday insurance against your having to cancel. Oxford Flute Summer School reserves the right to cancel a course in the event of unforeseen circumstances, in which case all money will be refunded. We also reserve the right not to accept an individual on to a course, for whatever reason.

Oxford Flute Summer School reserves the right to change the content of the course in exceptional circumstances.

Accommodation

Please be aware that accommodation is in bedrooms at St Edward’s School, which will be single occupancy, each with its own personal safe. Room doors are not individually lockable but there is a secure electronic system to gain access to each accommodation block. Oxford Flute Summer School is a mixed, residential course, open to students over the age of 15.

Insurance

Please make sure that all instruments and items of value are properly insured. Oxford Flute Summer School accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage or theft of instruments, clothing or personal property.

Smoking & Alcohol

Smoking in all areas of the campus is forbidden, as is the consumption of alcohol by students under 18. We hold a list of all students under 18 to ensure their safety and well-being on the course, although parents should be aware that this is primarily a course for adults and as such we do not offer 24 hour supervision.

First Aid

Course staff will be available at all times to provide First Aid and any other emergency care or support to students. However we must be made aware of any existing conditions which might require specialist assistance.

Publicity

We take photographs and make recordings during the course for use in our leaflets and on our websites (www.oxfordflutes.co.uk  www.ofssbursaryfund.com).  Please let us know in writing, at the time of booking, if you are unwilling to be included in this.

Child Protection & Safeguarding Policy

All UK based staff are fully DBS checked according to the normal expectations of working with children in one-to-one or group lessons. Our staff guidelines for Child Protection and Safeguarding are available on request. The DSL Designated Safeguarding Lead is Katie Bycroft who is reachable on 07745 377643.
