St Edward’s School Oxford

St Edwards provides a glorious backdrop for our summer school, on a site of over 100 acres in the north of Oxford. We have exclusive access to the superb facilities of the Ogston Music School, with its many practice rooms, impressive recital room, and light, airy classrooms.

Meals

Meals are taken together in the dining hall, with a canteen-style servery. Full board includes three meals a day, with a cooked breakfast. The meals are varied and hearty with plenty of options: choice of hot dinners, variety of vegetables, salads, fruit and desserts. All dietary requirements can be catered for – please let us know at the time of booking.

The City of Oxford

Situated a mile or so north of the city centre, St Edwards is an ideal base from which to visit Oxford – there are regular buses into the centre or you can walk. Although our course is packed with musical activities, you may feel like stealing a few hours off to visit this famous and vibrant city.

Accommodation and facilities

Our accommodation is in one of the school boarding houses, offering basic but comfortable bedrooms with shared facilities. There is a well-equipped kitchen and a welcoming social space in which to gather in the evenings. Drinks are provided in the dining hall at break times. The grounds are beautiful with many areas to explore and find a quiet corner. Shops, cafes and pubs are all available in Summertown, a few minutes walk from St Edward’s. There are plenty of hotels and B&Bs nearby should you wish to find your own accommodation.
